Fonedream employ and contract with a team of specialist musicians and studio engineers. The creative team have a number of daily duties including the management of multiple music charts across a large number of Countries. Our audio ringtone business is broken down into the following key components:

• Sourcing Material
• Creation of mobile specific Ringtone
• Technical engineering to SP-MIDI and management of tracks
• Exporting and Technical nuances deployed per manufacturer
• Previews and Meta data generated for upload by Content Managers

At Fonedream we don’t process our ringtones through auto tools to generate content suitable for all handsets, we do all of this by hand and each track is listened to by our Audio Content Manager prior to release.

The studio: we utilise Pro-Tools and Cu-Base for our audio production and each individual musician has their own personalised keyboard input methods. Must music is generated via keyboard played naturally and then quantised, we fell this replicates the track and provide a feel to the music.

Our philosophy is that an audio track needs to be converted conceptually to mobile as well as creatively. We spend a great deal of time annotating or remixing the original track to generate the best ringtone, it might be bringing up the baseline, taking the chorus first, bringing the ride our in for two bars prior to the catchy bridge. This thought process we believe is one of the key reasons for the success of our ringtones in the marketplace.
